An advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine aficionados who want to engross themselves in the world of wine.

This qualification provides a detailed understanding of viticulture and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style, quality and aging potential.

Course dates: 14th, 21st, 28th September 12th, 19th, 26th October

10th, 17th, 24th January – 7th, 14th 21st February

26th April, 3rd, 10th, 24th, 31st May, 7th June

Location: Zabeel House By Jumeirah, The Greens, Dubai (Location TBC) 

Course delivery: In-person classroom learning in groups up to 16pax. Lunch and coffee breaks included.

Course Delivery: 6 Days over 7 consecutive weeks. Breakdown of hours: 30 hours in person classroom learning, 54 hours of personal study and revision. Course includes revision session before the exam

Tasting: 70+ Wines

Course Duration: 6 Days, 9am – 6pm,

Exam: 120 min multiple choice + short written answer exam, Blind Tasting of two wines

Award: E-certificate and Level 3 pin badge

Unit 2

Assessment

  • Unit 1 is assessed by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions and a short-written answer paper.
  • Unit 2 is assessed by a blind tasting of two wines.
  • This qualification is regulated by Ofqual

Entry Requirements

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that you hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. You must be of legal drinking age in the country where you are attending the course and exam to participate in any alcohol tasting.
