In this course, you will experience Spain’s most well-known wine region, Rioja. You will gain a deeper knowledge of the range of styles and quality of red and white Rioja influenced by the terroir, grapes, and winemaking techniques.
You will look in depth at the grape varieties planted in its three zones: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental and explore the wine laws and ageing regulations affecting the styles labeled Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva.
Enjoy a guided tasting of five classic examples across white and red Rioja you have covered in the course led by certified wine educators, in a relaxed and interactive setting. This intensive course is 2 hours long and is suitable for intermediate and advanced level wine enthusiasts and professionals.
In the event of course cancellations, please notify Grape Secrets a minimum of eight 8 days before the course by email (info@grapesecrets.com). The candidate will be entitled to a refund of 80% of the course / re-sit fees via bank transfer within 7 days under the following circumstances.
Should notice of cancellation be received less than eight (8) days before the course / start date, the candidate will forfeit their entire course fee. Non-attendance of the course will also result in forfeiture of the candidate’s course.
