An advanced level qualification for professionals working in the wine industry and for wine aficionados who want to engross themselves in the world of wine.

This qualification provides a detailed understanding of viticulture and wine making. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style, quality and aging potential.

Course Dates: 

In-Class: 6, 13, 20, 27 Jan 10th, 17th Feb,

Exam 25th February

Location: Zabeel House By Jumeirah, The Greens, Dubai

Course delivery: In-person classroom learning in groups up to 15pax. Lunch and coffee breaks included.

Course Delivery: 7 Days over 8 consecutive weeks. Breakdown of hours: 30 hours in person classroom learning,  54 hours of personal study and revision. Course includes 1 full revision day

Tasting: 60+ Wines

Course Duration: 7 Days, 9am – 6pm,

Exam: 120 min multiple choice + short written answer exam, Blind Tasting of two wines

Award: Certificate and Metal Lapel Pin

  • Unit 1 is assessed by a closed-book exam of 50 multiple-choice questions and a short-written answer paper.
  • Unit 2 is assessed by a blind tasting of two wines.
  • This qualification is regulated by Ofqual

Entry Requirements

It is recommended that you hold the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines or can demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge. You must be of legal drinking age in the country where you are attending the course and exam to participate in any alcohol tasting.
